Bubble Comment

Check out Bubble Comment (http://www.bubblecomment.com). Leave a 20 second video comment on a web page. Not much time, but this is neat! See how it works here: http://www.bubblecomment.com/id/6xkza

Create a Virtual You

Neat site, haven't really explored, but you can use a virtual character or create one with whom to interact. Might be an activity for students - interact with Abe Lincoln or one where students create the people (historical, literature, etc.). http://www.virsona.com/

Word Magnets

Create word activities at this site. http://tinyurl.com/quae8c Enter some words and have students arrange in category, color by category and other activities. See a video "how to" at http://www.youtube.com/NikPeachey

Wikispaces

Wikis are web sites which allow collaboration. A wiki can have several pages, all linked together. You can post information, along with pictures. A group of individuals can work on the same page, but they must be cautious not to work at the same time. Wikis may be public or private and have contol capability. Here is an example http://educationalwikis.wikispaces.com/
This blog was created using Blogger, a Google product. As you can see if you browse, it allows entries including text, links, pictures, video and html embed codes for items created elsewhere on the Web. Blogs can be private or public. Blogger provides plenty of settings for control. There are many other sites with blog capabilities. Blogs, or web logs were designed with the idea of diary entries, but can be used in a variety of ways.
